Sorry, I don't see anything that suggests it is a fossil and certainly not a fish.

Be not ashamed of mistakes and thus make them crimes (Confucius, 551 BC - 479 BC).

Sorry but you are seeing features that are just not there.  It's like seeing shapes in the clouds.

I agree that it's not a fish.  A fish will not fossilize in 3-D form, like what you believe you are seeing.  It would, instead, be a flat skeleton, like this:

This is generally true, but there are exceptions. The fish nodule concretions from the Santana Group in Brazil come to mind.

However, I agree, the OP's rock is just that - a rock, and not a fossil.

Thanks for the additional photos. My opinion is not, however, changed: no fish fossil, but a sedimentary rock.

Still not a fossil fish. It may be time to set this one aside.

"Desperately trying to convince someone to see what I see" is a dangerous path. Science does all it can to avoid that.

I,m afraid you have a case of pareidolia.  It's actually quite common.  It's like seeing shapes, (dragon, football, alligator head, or whatever) in the clouds but they are still just clouds.  What you have is just a rock but you've convinced yourself its something else.  I had a good friend like this, but with time and some practice, just keep trying, (lots of fossils in the world) you will eventually find some real fossils.  Best of luck

Quite possibly limestone. One way to check is to apply a few drops of vinegar. If it seems to fizz, that suggests the presence of calcium carbonate, which is the main chemical constituent of limestone.

Looks like a mudstone/sandstone to me.  Definitely not any kind of fossil, however.
