Please help identify Ontario, Canada

Good morning 

Any information pertaining to this would be appreciated.

It was found along Lake Erie in Ontario, Canada. 

I believe it may be coral but not 100% sure.

This looks similar to a coral called Pleurodictyum.

We will definitely be reading up on this now that it's been identified 

My 8yr old son found this 

He's always finding rhe strangest things on our walks

Childs often do that. They look for weird things, are nearer from the floor and have a better sight than us.

That's what makes Tidgy excellent at this.
