Aurora, NC Find (Fossil Museum)

Hi all - digging in the phosphate piles for the weekend for the Fossil Festival and found this interesting specimen that stumped most of the people I talked to. What is this? (apologies for the hand pictures, only way I could get it to focus properly)

Hi,

 

It makes me think of either a piece of big stinger but very worn, or part of a loop of stinger. But I may be wrong...

Nice Detail... When I first started , I found one that was 90mm...  Nothing as large since...

Thank you all! That was my best guess as well, other options being Sea Robin or some sort of whale tooth
