Here are more unknown specimens of which a few I have a few slight ideas for what their Proper IDs, but would still like assistance in finding Proper IDs for them.

Unknown Specimen 4 :

(this one at a certain angle looks like some kind of spinal cord of an aquatic vertebrate, maybe even something like an amphibian?)

I am completely unfamiliar with the Oglesby site and fossils.

Looks like some of the specimens would benefit from some further preparation, however.

Also, ID requests should REALLY be posted under FOSSIL ID. ;) I HAVE SPLIT THESE OUT FROM YOUR TRIP REPORT TO PUT THEM HERE.

Maybe some prepping and cleanup before posting there would increase chances of positive IDs.

I do not see anything here that I would feel comfortable identifying as fish or shark material, except for Unknown #2 which could potentially be a broken tooth, but might also be a brachiopod.

5 is the partial imprint of a productid brachiopod, quite definitely.

Unknown and partial Ctenacanthiform tooth

What do you guys think of these specimens? These definitely look like Ctenacanthiform teeth, but the first one only has the very tip of the tooth preserved and the second seems a bit better but it's bottom is missing currently. The thickness of the tooth does very similar to a Gilkmanius tooth I've found previously at the Oglesby site, but not 100% sure if this is Gilkmanius teeth?

What productid brachiopod genus do you think it belongs to?:zzzzscratchchin:

I do not see anything diagnostic about the first partial tooth you posted here. The second one is interesting, the shape does not look like a typical cladodont tooth. I don't know that there is enough there to identify it though.

I am not sure, as I don’t know much about this locality, and there is not a lot of shell left.

Just talked to a colleague from Chicago about the ID's for these two teeth. The second one he said is a currently unknown Actinopterygian fish. The first one is a Ctenacanthiform, but its ID is currently unknown.
