Hello, I'll be on a trip to University of Illinois next weekend. Any areas near there that would have interesting fossils?

Hi, as the title said I’ll be headed to University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), and I just wanted to ask if there’s any interesting places around there to look for fossils?

 

I’ve done a little reading on some of the publications in ISGS, but haven’t found anything honestly at all, regarding fossils and that area.  But I was wondering if maybe y’all knew a few places yourself?

Champaign County is quite barren of bedrock exposures and therefore fossils, but there are some sites within 30 minutes of CU where fossiliferous rock was used in construction applications and interesting fossils could potentially be found. I can PM you with the information when I have some time later this week.
