Brandy Cole
Hi @sasha70 I've split your current post into a new topic so that it will be clearer to members what you are trying to identify. When you have a new item to identify, it is most helpful to start a new thread rather than post your new item into an old thread. That makes it easier for members to know what item you need help with. Thank you for sharing your finds on the forum!
Fossildude19
Looks like part of a Calamites stem cast, to me. 1 3 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Missourian
Possibly something akin to Rhabdocarpus sp.?? Example from the Kasimovian, Pennsylvanian of Kansas, USA: 3 Context is critical.
Mark Kmiecik
Seed pod or fruiting body was my first thought, but it may be a Calamites nodal section. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
RJB
Looks kinda like a Thingamabopper, but me thinks the above posters have a better idea as to what this really is. RB

RB No, this would be a Thingamajigger. Thingamaboppers are more elliptically shaped in a dorsal view. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them! I had been leaning toward Doohickey myself, but the structure is a bit off. I considered Doodad as well, but those are limited to the Mesozoic. Context is critical.
