FossilRobert
I got this tooth from a megalodon tooth collector from South Carolina. They said they collected it from Cooper River alongside megalodon teeth, but weren't certain as to what it came from. To me it looks like an incisor tooth from a basilosaurid, but I haven't seen anything quite like this from South Carolina. It is just over 2-3/5" long and has carinae without serrations (denticles). I could see crocodilian as a possibility as well, but wanted to get some insight from others.

FossilRobert
Thank you! I started searching around and came across Thecachampsa (Gavialosuchus) teeth that bear a resemblance to what I've got here.
New Members YoungHobo Posted January 5 New Members Share Posted January 5 I think you guys have answered one of my questions. Thanks they look alot like what you have found. I found these 2 between a farm pond and a canal in southeast North Carolina, I'm also finding tons of other teeth I'll show as well.
