Hi, I’m new to the forum. Found this last month. Any ideas as to what type of animal it was? Specimen is fossilized.

Gravel bar on Mississippi River in low water condition (water level -3 ft.). Found at surface.
St Louis county, Missouri

My guess would be some sort of pharyngeal teeth of a fish.

Similar to this.
