Fossilized egg perhaps?

My wife and I found this exploring a local creek bed this weekend in Southern KY.  It appears to have a clear shell, but is split in two from all of its years in motion.

Any clear direction or identification is appreciated.

Thanks

It would seem to be an eroded concretion.

There is no eggshell texture and the shell here would have been so thick the baby wouldn't have been able to get out.
