New Members Chicosmama Posted November 18, 2023 New Members Share Posted November 18, 2023 Newbie here. Need help with identifying this. Looks like a tusk but have no idea. Found on beach in North Carolina. Know it's a bone but it sounds like ceramic when you knock against it
Darktooth
This is not a tusk, but a broken piece of weathered bone that happens to be shaped, similar to a tusk. 5 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

Fin Lover
You could try taking it to a museum or university that has a paleontology department, but they may not be able to tell you much that members here haven't already told you. Unfortunately, there are a lot of pieces of broken bones out there that don't really have many diagnostic features. Fin Lover
