SawTooth
I was going through my collection today, as I got some nice display stands that I was beginning to put to use, and remembered this fossil, found around Steinhatchee, Florida, I hope I spelled that right. I was thinking Camelid, but normally those seem to be section into 4, not 2, thoughts? (About 3/4 of an inch, almost 2cm)
Lone Hunter
Sectioned? Referring to how many teeth together? Need picture of chewing surface, not sure what last picture is. Don't think it's camel but could be wrong. Edited December 25, 2023 by Lone Hunter
SawTooth
The last picture is the chewing surface.
SawTooth
When I say sectioned I am referring to the enamel lines separating the tooth into what appears like different sections, I'm not sure if there is a technical term for this. Brandy Cole
Looks like it could be a very worn peccary tooth to me.
Balance
Maybe very worn m1. Peccary could be similar but this gets you into the ballpark I think.
