concealedcrab
Hey all. Found this lovely shark tooth in some siltstone and haven’t been able to get a solid ID on it. i know, don’t ID sharks from one tooth, but if you could, any guesses?

concealedcrab
I've been researching it, it seem scientists have agreed that Lemon sharks really came upon the scene in the Oligocene, where as Squatina has been around since the late Jurassic. There is very little information on sharks in the Middle Eocene of Southern California.
