This was found in the Carboniferous limestone of the Malahide formation , east coast Dublin Ireland,, i have not seen this species before any ideas? Its 15mm in size

Looks like a spiriferid but could be a spiriferinid.

Can you see much under the beak?

I wouldn't rule out something along the lines of Enteletes.  But, as Adam has suggested, a view from the side and especially one of the hinge area would be helpful to hopefully narrow down options.

Ah yes, new pics definitely rule out the Enteletes idea.  Thanks.  Some type of spiriferid looks correct.  It doesn't look like any that I am familiar with from the Mid-Continent area here in the US, but there are many others found elsewhere and its possible it is a juvenile of some type and hasn't "fully developed" its look yet.

Juvenile Spiriferid brachiopod it is then! Thanks so much guys . I wonder how long would a brachiopod live for?

Brachiopod species exhibit a reasonably wide range of lifespans, typically living from 3 to 30 years. (Cohen, 2007)
