What is this? I found it breaking open shale at discovery park beach in Seattle, WA. Found at low tide.

Could be a sedimentary structure.
Not really seeing a recognizable fossil here.

Maybe a few other angles might help?

Concretion or some sort of sedimentary structure, I think.  :unsure:

I agree. Not seeing a fossil here. Looks strictly geological
