Troodon
If you are ever traveling in Black Hills of South Dakota and Mouth Rushmore a visit to the Black Hills Institute in Hill City is a must. Not very large, their museum is full of dinosaurs they collected mostly in the Hell Creek and other local items including invertebrates. isurus90064
Thanks for posting Frank. Btw for those of you interested in the history of the Black Hills Institute (and more specifically Peter Larson) as it relates to "Sue", there is a movie that was released in 2014 called "Dinosaur 13". The Amateur Paleontologist
Boy, that Tylosaurus skull is so cool - and the aigialosaur as well. Thanks for posting these P.S. Wasn't aware of a Russian L. ferox . I thought their remains were confined to western Europe? Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy! Q. Troodon
New display at the BHI. It's amazing they continue to add to very tight quarters. Pete Larsen posted these photos and comments "Finished the revamp of our Cretaceous marine exhibit today in the Museum Black Hills Institute!! The new Elasmosaur really brightened up our day. We are added a cast of the Maastrichtian long necked Plesiosaur from Morocco".
Pagurus
The marine display is wonderful, and a little eerie as well. Especially that second photo. Start the day with a smile and get it over with.
