Found these today.

Found a large fossil molar and a piece of fossilized bone.

any idea where I can take them for someone to look at?

The tooth is from a horse (Equus) bovid, not sure on the bone, though.

How long does it take to fossilize?

At the minimum, fossilization can take 10,000 years, but sometimes it takes millions.

The tooth is bovid.

Yeah, not a horse tooth, something else. Can you show an end view of the masticating surface (the action end)?

Definitely not a horse tooth. Horses don't have isolated stylids on cheek teeth.

The bone fragment appears to me to be a proximal metapodial -- a cannon bone. 

Could be from the same bovid that contributed the tooth.

From diagrams I've seen, I also think this is bovid. In terms of getting some expert opinion, you might wish to consult an expert at your local university or museum.
