Rocky Stoner
Upon seeing the very nice recent posts by WhodamanHD, I was prompted to revisit my rock-pile stash and crack a few. Does this look like a trilobite ? If it is, the eye is a bit different than WhodamanHD's find. This one would be a bit larger than the others found here too .... if it actually is one. Thanks for looking. ...more.
Fossildude19
Yup- looks like an Eldredgeops rana cephalon. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." I'd imagine the rest is buried by that spiriferid brachiopod.

I left the cover on for the photo having learned the hard way to never attempt to just pry the top pieces off. It always breaks up where I least want it to. I'm going to expose the rest of it as best I can. Cheers.
RJB
I dont know my trilo's from a hole in the ground, but it looks to me like a very heavy pustualed crab claw? RB

Two answers but one is correct and the other one is only confusing for the OP. Rocky Stoner
Could it possibly be a Basidechenella ? So many variations, its confusing. Here it is cleaned up a bit. That other eye was buried down in there, took quite a bit of scratchin' to expose it. These eyes are clearly a bit different than WhodamanHD's recent find. Although, this guy shows substantial deformation (pressure?). Thanks again folks, Regards. 2 more

Kane
You have another Eldredgeops rana here. The schizocroal eyes and inflated glabella is a telltale sign. ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
