I have no information on the species or where it was found. I'd welcome any ideas. It doesn't look like my other Knightia Fossil Fish, the matrix seem different. Fossildude19 Posted September 3, 2017 Share Posted September 3, 2017 This looks like 1/2 of a nodule from the Early Cretaceous Santana formation, in Brazil. Probably Rhacolepis buccalis . The fish looks like it was flattenened dorso ventrally, and you have the imprint of the bottom of the fish. Neat fossil.
