Maybe Platecarpus, this is according to This site, I have heard of tylosaurs as well. Hopefully some locals will comment their opinion.

Platecarpus, Tylosaurus, and Clidastes are the most common mosasaurs in NSR that I know of. Clidastes is extremely small, so I don't that that bone would fit. So its down to Tylosaurus or Platecarpus. Tylosaurus bones are usually larger, but they can occasionally be smaller.

If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!
