Real or fake? China bird fossil
cheney416 posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
This is a fossil seller"s bird fossil. He says this fossil is from China. But i think this fossil is can be fake. If it is real, i don't think it is a bird fossil. How about you? What do you think about this fossil? Please give me a lot of ideas! thanks -
This partial avian rib bone was part of a collection I obtained from a friend in Florida. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to a potential bird species. The closest image that I could find on the web was that of a Wild Turkey. As a comparison, I included in my photo a rib of a Red-tailed Hawk (center), and an American Crow (right). All comments would be greatly appreciated.
