Hell Creek / Lance Formations

Fossils from the famed Hell Creek and Lance Formations (Maastrichtian ~ 66-68 Ma, Lancian faunal stage). Some of the most charismatic animals to ever exist lived in this geologic unit, including T. rex, Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Edmontosaurus, et al.

Nice material, love the Avisaurus tooth. How were you able to identify that Ceratopsian tooth to a genus and species Triceratops prorsus?

I just got some Lance Creek Micro matrix and am finding some lovely stuff! I was going to message you about one tooth in particular...but I think I found it here in your album! Thank you for posting these!

Sure, glad someone's getting use out of it! I'll look forward to seeing what all you find. (FYI it's just the "Lance formation", not "Lance Creek".)
