Troodon
I went to the Moroccan Tent village just across the street from the Market Place Venue. You can typically find some nice Dinosaur material from the Kem Kem but did not see any. Not sure whats going on typically its a cool locality. One note the vendors really had a problem with me taking pictures why you only see one. This is one big time RED flag area....lots and lots of fabrications, composites etc so you really need to be careful. Its a pretty big area with about 30 tents like the ones in the photos. Negotiate negotiate prices.

Troodon
Here are a few more of the items that I picked up Caudal Vertebra from the Morocan Stegosaurid, Adratiklit boulahfa Moroccan Early Cretaceous Sauropod Claw from the Ksar Metlili Formation. Its one of the largest Sauropod claws in my collection if I compare it too those from the Morrison Fm A jurassic specimen believed to be Ankyosaurid Spike from the same locality as the Stego. Saw a photo of 3 of these on the plate and its currently being studied in the UK A Carcharodontosaurid Rooted tooth. We address many ID questions about rooted Kem Kem teeth... this is what one should look like. Its glossy with a depression for the replacement root. it tapers down to a very small cross-section an the root is hollow. A very large cervical vertebra from a Spinosaurus sp. A sauropod tooth Pleurocoelus sp. from the Isle of Wight UK 15

Where are you heading today Jared has a spino vert with neural spine but almost all resto. I was interested until I found out the entire spine was resto. Still a nice piece though. Heading to electric park first today then probably back to market place. May hit Jogs or Pueblo later. Pueblo has some nice Canadian ammolite ammonites cheaper than I’ve seen elsewhere but still way over my budget!

LordTrilobite
18 hours ago, Troodon said: My BIG surprise from the show at this point is this theropod vertebra from the Kem Kem from the above dealer. The Spine was broken in two so I was holding it to get a better sense of what it is. It was laying on the table so I rotated and inverted the photo to see how it properly sits. Is it a Spinosaurid? Probably but this spine is not flat and rectangular like all of the others we see. This one is flat near the centrum then quickly becomes oval and ends at a point and its very long. This one is not unique I have an identical one in my collection but it only has a portion of the spine. So is this what a Sigilmassasaurus vertebra looks like, possibly but it appears to be lacking the diagnostic pedestal on the ventral side of the centrum, but matrix is making hard to make that call. Another Kem Kem mystery.. Why these shows are fun you never know what may pop up. @LordTrilobite @-Andy- The spine is weird sure, but the centrum still looks like Spino to me. So posterior dorsal? I kinda don't think it's Sigilmassasaurus. I have a small juvenile mid? dorsal centrum that has the rugose plateau on the bottom. One thing is for sure, it doesn't fit with the Ibrahim reconstruction. But the biggest gap in that reconstruction are the vertebrae around the hip area. I think there might be a discrepancy between the Egypt and Morocco Spinosaurs. The sail might not look like what we're expecting and the Egyptian and Moroccan Spinos might have different sails. 4 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite
