This is a part of my petrified wood collection . any idea about the time required for wood to be agatized like that . thanks for looking .

I am a petrified wood collector . i hope you enjoy my collection . and i hope to know your opinion . never mind , I know that one can say nothing on seeing that exceptional beauty .

It is the heart feelings that very difficult to be written .

a translucent orange yellow petrified wood stone with growth rings still as it is . ( one of my favorites )

OR it is just an eyes agate ( not a fossil ) in your opinion .

Can't see enough sides and angles to be certain, but looks more agate-like, in my opinion.

yes I agree with you , it is just an agate stone .  wood can not fossilize like that .

The hard petrified woods composed of quartz, chalcedony and opal ct usually take a few million to tens of millions of years to form. Similar wood from the Miocene is common. Wood can mostly petrify in a few years or decades in hot springs. Wood buried in volcanic sediments can be opalized and pretty solid in a few thousand years.
