New Members Rob1986 Posted June 7, 2020 New Members Share Posted June 7, 2020 My little boy and I were digging around in the gravel in our garden and came across this stone which looks like a tooth of some sort? Is anyone able to assist in identifying it, even just to confirm if it's a fossil and not an old dog tooth? It's about an inch in size from tip to the base. dhiggi
Could be ironstone, but that’s just me starting discussion. Wait for some expert opinions
Micah
I second ironstone.
Ludwigia
I'll go along with ironstone too. Definitely not a tooth at any rate. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Fossildude19
No enamel or root structure, so I have to say geologic on this one. Possibly ironstone, as stated by the others. Mark Kmiecik
Not a tooth, but definitely an interesting specimen. How deep is that hollow? Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
