Trace fossils? or "What is this?"

Found this rock in a stream bed, so I can't define what "layer" its from but Pennsylvanian throughout Kansas City.....any help appreciated as always!... Bone

Looks like the trace fossil Petroxestes possibly made by a boring bivalve. They have been recorded from ordovician, silurian and miocene rocks.

Unfortunately there are trace fossils not fossils. They are traces made by fossils. We are talking about bioerosion. :)

Trace fossils are fossils. They are however not body fossils.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
