A clearer photo of the exterior texture of the ball will convince me that this is an algal ball, Porocystis sp. that is found in Early Cretaceous formations such as the Glen Rose. 3 My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned. BTW, Johnson City is in Blanco Co. Llano Co. is NW of Blanco Co. The geology of Llano County (Llano uplift area) is too old to support finding a lower Cretaceous Fossil such as Porocystis.
