Team collecting Eastover: Heavy on pics. Whale, shark, fish, etc

For several years, @Gizmo and I have been working to grow a collection of vertebrate fossils from the Eastover formation for the Calvert Marine Museum and for our own study. We've developed a wide range of stream sites along the central Atlantic Coastal Plain and have collected a variety of vertebrates ranging from pinnipeds to fishes. This summer, @WhodamanHD and @HoppeHunting joined us to tackle some of the more difficult sites.

Below are some bits and bobs from our trips this summer. This was a team effort so we thought it might be fun for this post to be a collective effort as well.

From the top: Rib bone?, 2 bird bones, coprolite and mystery bone (PS, it's intact, with a giant articular surface on the side that is showing)

That stuff is all amazing.  The seal atlas vert is super cool.  Love the fish finds.  But that whale humerus BLOWS MY MIND!!!

You guys must have been SO pumped to find that thing.   I wouldn't even know where to keep it, it's so huge.  Thanks for sharing the pics!!
