HemiHunter
I know that boat ramp! Without revealing location specifics, of course, it would be cool to hear about your approach to collecting all your finds. Were you guys actually diving?
sharkdoctor
@HemiHunter, the Eastover material that we've collected has come from sites ranging from bluffs to shallow creeks to underwater exposures. Sifting and sorting through stream gravel has yielded important finds at sites that are constrained to the Eastover. Looking in falls and known stream bank horizons has resulted in material that has better stratigraphic control. Underwater sites are tough, but it is possible to use the same approach and maintain stratigraphic control by working sites that are constrained to the Eastover OR collecting directly from the beds of interest.
