Fossildude19
Where is it from? Also, can we get a picture looking directly down on the fossils, not an oblique angle? FossilDAWG
Possibly a Sphenophyllum. @historianmichael or @paleoflor may be able to offer a more definitive suggestion. A locality and a better orientation of the photo would be useful information, as Tim said. Don
cngodles
Looks a bit like Triphyllopteris latiloba to me. Mississippian however. The leaves are considered a lobed pinnule. Also could be Odontopteris brardii or Mariopteris eremopteroides. Source: Plant Fossils of West Virginia (ED-3A) We commonly use Ohio and West Virginia resources for identification here in PA. historianmichael
Looks like what was formerly known as Mariopteris cf. lobata, but was reclassified as Eusphenopteris lobata. 2 Follow me on Instagram (@fossil_mike) to check out my personal collection of fossils collected and acquired over more than 15 years of fossil hunting!
