Nimravis
I am looking for some help. I have had this piece in a drawer in my collection for years, if not decades, and it never had an ID. It has a Calamites feel to it, but am not sure. There are also 2 small insects on this piece. I am looking for any ids and a possible location and age. it also has a Green River feel, but I am not sure if that can be the case. I really need to get some tag identifiers on some of my fossils that are lacking them. Thanks for any help.
Fossildude19
Ralph, This looks like some sort or Equisetum, or horsetail fossils. They are very similar in structure to Calamites. Tidgy's Dad
The last one sort of looks isopod-ish, perhaps? 1 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Myrmica
Without seeing them in more detail, the first insect looks like a fly, and the second may be a ventral view of a beetle?
Jeffrey P
Florissant maybe. That would be Eocene.
Top Trilo
The matrix does not look like its from Florissant. If I chose a formation though it would purely be a guess. “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. FossilDAWG
Another guess might be Douglass Pass CO. If so, Eocene Parachute Creel Member, Green River Formation. Don
Rodney
The first insect is some type of fly with the six legs and wings are visible. The second insect appears to be a species of roach.
