Hello fellow fossil fans, I am a new member of this forum and a (very) amateur fossil collector.  I found something yesterday at Calvert Cliffs in Maryland that I am struggling to identify.  Can anyone shed some light on this object for me?  Much obliged!

Thats neat looking.  My first guess would be some type of oyster conglomeration.  But others with more collecting experience at that location (I have only been once) might recognize it more specifically.

Oh, and welcome to TFF!  Hope you enjoy your experience here.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. They were giving me oyster vibes, too, ClearLake, and it was a big day for barnacles, Al Dente, so you could be spot on.

Looks like the basal plates from a barnacle cluster.

I knew someone would have a better answer!  Those edges looked odd, yet familiar to me, I just couldn't put my finger on it and I'm not at home to look at my examples.  Glad you came up with a better answer.
