A type of coral maybe? Topsail Island, NC

Found on Topsail Island while beach combing. It’s about 2” in length and has 3 hollow “tubes” that are open on one end only. I’m thinking it’s possibly some kind of coral?

Cow, Bison, or Horse....

Need a photo directly on the chewing surface. Also measure length of chewing surface.  Thanks

Thanks for your reply. It’s about an inch wide and 3/8” thick.

I like fossil coral also, but I agree with you. 

Your find is from Equus,  a horse tooth from the lower jaw possibly left side, m3 dental position likely, .

Thank you so much! That's pretty exciting to learn. I found a tapir tooth a couple years ago on Topsail also. I'll have to keep my eyes open for other things besides shark teeth next time.
