Murman
Found on Topsail Island while beach combing. It’s about 2” in length and has 3 hollow “tubes” that are open on one end only. I’m thinking it’s possibly some kind of coral?

Your find is from Equus, a horse tooth from the lower jaw possibly left side, m3 dental position likely, . Here are some threads that have decent examples: http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/74303-horse-tooth-size/ http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/106156-could-these-be-calippus-teeth/ Nice find.!!! Nice find.!!! Thank you so much! That's pretty exciting to learn. I found a tapir tooth a couple years ago on Topsail also. I'll have to keep my eyes open for other things besides shark teeth next time.
