My hadrosaur nest

Hi people! Thanks to all the nice people here I wanted to share the pictures of some of my fossils. I wanted to start with what is currently my proudest and most expensive piece, my 3 egg hadrosaur nest from China. These are not crazy rare, also not museum quality but it was my first show piece that I bought and have been enjoying it everyday. Owning a piece of history, a nest of a creature that lived millions of years ago still makes me happy when I think about it. The eggshell and color on these is super nice compared to most I see at auctions. Let me know what you all think. :)

An excellent piece anyway. From the last photo I see that he has it behind a showcase, so often I could suggest that he put a small wooden base or the material that he likes the most. To make it stand out even more, among the other pieces. :Smiling:

Haha this was going to be my next post. I bought it as an unifentified raptor/reptile skeleton from utah. Didnt pay that much for it, figure I just take the risk and find out what it is later. Ill go ahead and post it in fossil ID right now :)

Can you post better photos of the eggs hard to see anything in detail and make comments on it like you asked.   Need closer images.   Want to see the eggshell and matrix between the eggs.

Thanks,  the eggs look good hard to see if any work was done to the eggshell.  I also was trying to determine if you have a composited group or its natural but the photos dont provide that info.  They are dendroolithus type eggs.

Had a composite concern about this area

Hi troodon thanks for the help, its always a big concern for me that the fossils I buy are not what they are promised to be. With this piece im 99.99% sure no composit work has been done because the matrix has remnants of other eggshells, making this imo a natural formation. Heres picures showing all 3 sides, all with more eggshell on them.

Yours look awesome! Fun story I went to the guy because I was buying other fossils. Then I asked if he had any single hadrosaur eggs left, and he didnt. So I asked what he wanted for his nest of 3 and got it for an awesome price. Yours are lovely examples of single eggs
