CoopMauKona
Normally we only go out shell hunting, but recently learned a bit about fossils and shark teeth here in SC. So we found this on our first trip on the beach. Might it be a plastron bone? We're very new at this hobby so any help on the species and time period would be appreciated (if it is a fossil). Rockwood
I think this likely is part of a fossilized turtle plastron. The probable age would be Miocene to Pliocene. You should wait for other opinions however.
