Looks like some type of coral?

Approx 1" high and 2" across- broken off of a larger piece.

Foerstephyllum halli, not Favosites.  The internal structure of Foerstephyllum differs from Favosites, and Favosites first occurs later in the Ordovician than the Verulam and Bobcaygeon formations.  In southern Ontario in particular Foerstephyllum is abundant in the Bobcaygeon, much less so in the Verulam (the formation in the Peterboro area), and Favosites is not found until the Silurian.
