To my eye, this does not appear to be a fossil of any kind, but a tumbled piece of limestone or similar with some differential weathering.

I think this new one may be igneous or metamorphic, so it won't contain any fossils. If you have a rock tumbler, it may look nice. Or, if you want to saw it and sand it, that might also enhance its appearance.
