Nc Great Whites

Here are a few shots of Great White shark teeth as found from a recent trip. The material has been moved by machinery. Also found on the trip was a lot of bony fish material which I didn't photograph. These are from the Pliocene Yorktown Formation. What I really enjoyed about these teeth is one tooth is the most pristine I've ever found and another is the most massive in terms of weight. It is 2.6 inches long.

Wow. Very nice. The serrations on those great whites look huge when you compare them to a meg. Congrats!

Eric,

Those teeth are gorgeous. I guess I used up all my luck on the May 2nd hunt because I think I'm the only person that didn't find a shark tooth on this trip.

Eric, those are some beautiful GW's. You certainly had a good trip. I hope to be able to get on one into that quarry soon.

Nothing beats in situ pics of really nice teeth like these :)

Except maybe being the one to take the pics... ;)
