Huh...I'm not sure what the 'guitar pick' is. If it is a scale, it's an odd one.

I'd vote for scale on the lighter matrix item.

Some of the sarcopterygian scales were ornamented with the kind of raised lines you see on this item.

Also, the shape of it is obscured by the overlapping matrix.

So, yeah ... two scales!

The scale pattern looks like the ginko tree leaf we have in japan.

Im going to agree with Tim that these are two scales and probably Sarcopterygiian
