Pennsylvanian of Ohio - Bone?

This is one I found this summer, and I am told it is bone. I have found large fish scales and a small fish there. Any thoughts as to what it could be from?

Must go fishing again....but in my case, I need to have no or little water.... I had to go through a few of my fossils about a week ago and came across ones I have forgotten! Thank you all again for your help, and maybe the bone belongs to the one I collected those large fish scales from! I was also told this "glob" is bone. It has no definition so will not be able to be identified, but.....still bone. Looking at these under a microscope is amazing! My son got my a magnifying light for Christmas, and I combined that with a nice magnifying glass and got some amazing detail also.

That looks promising; good sleuthing!

Hi Sherry yes I love fishing too :1-SlapHands_zpsbb015b76: especially for the type of fish we find

its great to look at specimens with a magnifying device I use a USB microscope wich allows me to take photos and videos. I bought it from ebay so it wasnt too expensive

Its a good possibility that the bone came from a fish that had the same type of scales you have found at your site

good look with the fishing

best regards

Chris
