erose
On June 4th my daughter Emelia and I are planning on visiting the Zigong Dinosaur Museum to finish out our two week tour of Sichuan. We have seen some amazing geology although the majority has been metamorphic and we have yet to spot any real fossils. The museum looks promissing. Any suggestions from other FF members on how to best enjoy this museum would be greatly appreciated. PS we do know a little about fossils and Chinese laws and only intend to bring home great memories and a lot of photographs. Xie xie
JohnJ
Enjoy it and, as you said, "lots of photographs". The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ

amour 25
True with their laws end up in the slammer for 10 years for taking a fossil clam. Hard labor at that. Enjoy the trip. Jeff

erose
Just returned from the museum. Not a bad experience at all. Pretty nice displays of mounted skeletons and display case fossils. Took many photos but they are on the digital and will not be downloaded until we get back to the states. So expect more in 3-4 days.

erose
Wow! Thanks so much for sharing! Is the museum built over a dig site? Yes, a huge area, and the region has many other localities.
