What is the size of the item?

I took the liberty of brightening and cropping your images.

Can't help with ID, but to me the shape is fairly odd for vertebra.

Maybe someone else will chime in.

If I might play the roll of pedant today: vertebrae - plural, vertebra - singular.

Perhaps someone will recognize it as a very worn example, but I sort of doubt it.

Hey! No fair editing it now :)

Can you post some additional views and size like previously asked size.  Do you know the age of deposits it came from?  I'm also struggling seeing a vertebra with that shape.

What location, the NE is a pretty big area. There are Jurassic marine reptiles in the Jurassic parts. Doesn't look like a vert to me (vert or verts - keeps the pedants at bay :P )
