Small bone for ID

I think that this is fossilized. I don't know what formation to attribute it to. After Matthew, things on the beach are rather jumbled. The bone looks familiar, as tho I should recognize it... Any guesses ?

Weird... Being symmetrical, it's almost certainly on the midline. I vote for fish skull bone.

  It does beat some resemblance to the neural arch bone of a vertebra also.
