New Rocks to Play With

23 posts in this topic

These have been a long time coming but they arrived just yesterday.  These are fish concretions from Morocco.  Ive never had any experience with these and have only seen about 3 fish from Morocco that are any good, so this is truly a gamble.  But if you don't gamble, you cant win.  Im going to go on the prep attack on one of these today and see what happens.  im excited and nervous at the same time.  Wish me luck.

I'm confident they are in good hands.  You'll do them justice if anyone can.

What, you don't have enough North American ammonites and crabs to deal with?  ;)

Welp, the very first fish concretion I attacked turned out to be a hollow mess!  Very very disappointing!  So I went back to prepping a lobster.

I bought several of these hoping to end up with a good one or two.  I don't think that's going to happen?

If I ever get around to it, I may just sell them.  Not too happy with them.  For those that know me, Im a bit too picky for my own good.

We know you.

But it's good to have people like you around as sources for 'seconds'.. (one man's trash... etc.)

Very well put my friend.   I do go back and forth on things, so maybe someday I may attack another one of these.
