So since there is so much sand on the river and bay this time of year i decided to change things ups and wander some creeks. Well low and behold look what i found and it was the only tooth of the day it is right at the 5" mark. Maybe i will have to spend some more time in the creeks instead of the bay and river lol!!!

oh my, what a beautiful fossil! Guess next time in the county and I see a river by the side of the road, might take a wonder.

@paxhunter

Given the root damage I'm sure you wouldn't want it in your esteemed and spectacular collection of teeth. I however, would be honored to take it off your hands so it doesn't sully your other, more worthy teeth. :envy: :meg: :drool:

I'm just that nice of a guy.

Cheers!

Just out of curiosity, which river would you throw it into? I feel like a nice swim...:P

What a monster! Congrats, I'd be spending more time in the creeks as well

Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!

So are you sifting the creeks or just surface hunting?  I think I know where I'd take my sifter today....:)

Awesome find!  I think that deserves a return trip to the creek.   My daughter and I are heading down tomorrow from NJ.  Trying to decide if we should bring our small boat or not.

Wow.  Awesome find.  I always wanted to wander up one of the creeks in the Calvert but never found a good public access point.  Congrats on an awesome find.  5" teeth are dang hard to come by.  I think I'd consider getting that guy repaired.  Wouldn't guess it would cost you more than $50 or so bucks but just a guess.  Even if you just did it yourself after practicing on some junker megs.
