ID Help Please - Tooth in Jaw Fragment (Miocene, MD Cliffs)

Hello... I found this small tooth yesterday at Flag Pond in Calvert County MD.  It is embedded in a small jaw fragment (the small tooth is circled in red).  The jaw fragment is solid, not appearing hollow like a fish jaw. Any thoughts on what it could be?

This looks like one of those frustrating ironstone nodules/concretions from the creeks there.

#2 - almost complete overhead view of tooth

#3-#4 - side views. Tooth looks has a tiny volcano shape

Your last photo does look more tooth-like.  :headscratch:

I've got nothing. Maybe one of the more local folks will weigh in.

Ray dermal scute is the closest thing I could think of, although a wonder if it’s and extremely pathological angel shark tooth. That’d be one funky tooth...
