Identifying a fossil on my house

Can you help me identify this fossil? I think it might be a cameroseras or endoseras.

It is in a rock on the foundation wall of my 80 year old house in Nashville. It looked like a regular rock when I moved in, but has weathered since and revealed this fossil. I have no idea where the rock came from.

It measures 16 inches long.20180223_082047.thumb.jpg.15454f4002093de17201fa7b7a3a444e.jpg

Neat! It very much looks like an orthoconic nautiloid, but wait for others to chime in.

Nice to have in the wall of your house!

Hello, and a very warm welcome to TFF from Morocco.:)

It's certainly an orthoconic nautiloid, but which one I don't know.

This may be useful:

The small piece next to the quarter is most likely a shell fragment. The larger cone shaped piece is an orthocone, as others have said.

Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough."

That’s cool!
