March 25th, 2018 Peace River ID request

I was wondering if this little bone is distinctive enough to get an ID on. The photos are large and since I upgraded my MacBook to High Sierra I can't find an option to choose a smaller size. I'll post the other picture in the next reply. (hopefully)

Looks like a metacarpal!

The animal it came from would be a bit of a guess for me.. maybe start comparing with Sus (pig/boar)?

Looks like a nice specimen. I still haven't found enough of these to have any idea where to begin with an identification. Hoping @Harry Pristis will swoop in and give us a bit of an education on how to identify this specimen.

Cheers.

I could find 2 Tapir Metapodials on the forum and they are both almost an inch longer than mine. Is that reasonable if we consider change in length due to age?

Harry definitely has it, I looked over the scale originally when I first looked.
