greel
Is this coprolite? Found in GMR - Pitt County, NC. Initially thought it might be a tooth from a shell crushing mosasaur (globidens). Very worn piece - could not get a good photo with my camera.

ynot
Looks like an iron concretion to Me, likely hematite. But I do not know poop. Maybe @GeschWhat or @Carl will have an idea. Darktooth
It looks like a small portion of a larger piece of coprolite. Your piece looks very similar to coprolites found in the cretaceous of Big Brook New Jersey. Also you can do the lick test ( not kidding). Coprolite should stick to your tongue 4 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
non-remanié
I agree, looks like a small cretaceous spiral coprolite 3 ---Wie Wasser schleift den Stein, wir steigen und fallen---
siteseer
I agree with Darktooth and non-remanie but I'm not going to lick any of the ones non-remaine once sent me. I'd never hear the end of it from my brothers.
