Brett Breakin' Rocks
Hi There, I have a few collecting vices (?) but bottles and bivalves are sadly not on that list. Up for grabs is a GPR bottle, which has lost some of its purple color and was made in a mold. Soon after the turn of the century 1920's - ish ? No breaks. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I didn't say that I haven't owned several bottles in the past har har ... The bivalve is something I'm assuming is fairly common and possibly still an extant species but it is both halves. I see these occasionally so if you want more just give me a PM and I'll keep an eye out. Both of these were found either in the Savannah river mud or washing out from dredged material. Pliocene - Pleistocene Nothing in return just a wave and a smile. Cheers, Brett
caldigger
Mr. Bivalve himself might be interested. @Max-fossils
snolly50
I would very much like to add that bottle to my old Mason jar grouping. Max-fossils
As Doren said, I do indeed love bivalves! But it seems like fossilnut jumped on the offer before I did... Thanks @caldigger for tagging me anyways! Max Derème "I feel an echo of the lightning each time I find a fossil. fossilnut
@Max-fossilsSorry about that. Just know that it will be used not for me personally but in a display/talk "Bivalves and Brachiopiods" and donated to the Maryland Natural History Society. Best wishes in your collecting.

Hi Max .. no worries, I was telling Tom that this was not the first time I've seen these bivalves washing out of the dredge 'cliffs'. Next time I spot another I won't pass it by .. I'll pick it up and send it over. Cheers, Brett

I really don’t care what size the shell is, a small one will make me just as happy. So feel free to to choose a smaller one for me, that way the (international) shipping will be a little less. Let me know when you plan on sending one! Thanks again, Max Max Derème "I feel an echo of the lightning each time I find a fossil. Haha no need to be sorry, whoever jumps on the offer first is the rightful claimer! And it’s also great to know that the shell is going to a greater cause than just a private collection (which would’ve been the case with me )!
