michele 1937
Lo ha cambiato alla mostra di Millau in Francia. Coprolite (cacca) ?? provenienza Utak USA Giurassico. È possibile una migliore indicazione? Grazie, Michele

GeschWhat
We still do not know if rocks like this from Utah are really coprolites. It is possible that it could be a cast of a coprolite. Unless there are identifiable inclusions such as vegetation, bone, scales, teeth or other evidence of items consumed, it is impossible to know for sure at this time. 1 Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo
Carl
I would find it very hard to believe this was a coprolite. Extruding an external texture like that is very hard to conceive. For the same reasons Lori gives, I'm gonna poopoo this one as a coprolite.
supertramp
ciao michele, is it limestone? it reminds me of some "coralloid" formations not so rare in cave environments https://www.google.it/search?biw=1517&bih=705&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=-_xVW9a0NuPX6QS8j5ioDA&q=coralloid+limestone&oq=coralloid+limestone&gs_l=img.3...60719.64276.0.65095.10.9.0.0.0.0.1189.1189.7-1.1.0....0...1c.1.64.img..9.0.0....0.cV4T8kfbZ2M#imgrc=M3_YXUt8G-C6vM:

Thank you Beware of those Utah "coprolites." I know of no one who actually works on coprolites who considers these to be real coprolites. They are called that at rock & mineral shows because they will easily sell as "dino dung" but not as well as "amorphous silica formation." fifbrindacier
I'm not sure that intestinal muscles would produce a such irregular shape. I'm leaning like the others towards a coralloid concretion or an earth poop. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."
